Video tutorial for TempoPerfect Metronome Software 2.0
|
Review
The metronome is a powerful and useful tool for any kind of musician. It can help you play your instrument at the right pace by giving you various types of both simple and complex rhythms. With a beat per minute (bpm) speed between 40 and 280, its multiple types of measures and their subdivisions, this free software is definitely worth trying.
The only thing that needs mentioning during the installation is the fact that you can download several related programs from the developer's page as well as their toolbar.
Now it's time to improve your playing style. You can select one of the existing rhythms with their specific BPM (rhythms like Adagio, Andante or Allegro) or you can create one of your own and save it as a preset. If you think that the standard sounds for the accents and beats are annoying, then you can enter the sounds menu and change them with the ones that you like more.
The visual aspect of the software is simple and intuitive. A little animated green ball bounces from side to side at the speed of the played tempo, and changes its color when a measure is over. This can be useful for a slow tempo as you can see when the measure ends, but it is pretty useless at high speed, because it gets hard to observe when a measure ends and another one begins.
Overall, this metronome is a great asset if you are a musician that wants to play in tact with the rhythm. Select one of the default presets or create one of your own and start improving your technique. |
- customizable tempos with measures and subdivisions
